Some days you are just not feeling it. Maybe you have an illness creeping up on you, maybe its the tenth time this week you’ve been to Snetterton and its still cold, windy and raining. Whatever the reason, some days it just isn’t ‘clicking’.
Recognise these occasions and manage yourself to give your best performance. If you need to be quick on another day of testing then find a song or an image in your mind to motivate yourself, treat it as a race weekend and get yourself into ‘that’ mindset. If you are feeling a bit under the weather then break down the task into manageable chunks and focus on one chunk at a time.
You may not give your best ever performance but with the right management of your mindset you will give the best performance you can.
