Having just returned from a lovely holiday with the family it reminded me of the importance if taking a break. Having a bit of time away recharges your drive and energy, especially late in the season, so you can focus fully on the next phase.
This also applies when testing. Don’t keep pounding round (unless you are testing an endurance run). Come in, take a breather, let your sub-conscious process away in the background and go out again renewed and refreshed. You’ll be amazed how quickly you improve.
